Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Note: this is a plain-language draft covering the disclosures carriers and The Campaign Registry require for SMS/A2P 10DLC approval, written to be accurate to what OraCard actually does. It is not legal advice — have an actual lawyer review it before you rely on it for a real launch.

This Privacy Policy explains what information OraCard ("we," "us," "OraCard") collects when you use our website and service, how we use it, and the choices you have — including specifically around text message (SMS) communications.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: your email address, and your mobile phone number if you choose to provide one for SMS alerts.
  • Card tracking data: the trading cards you add to your watchlist, and your alert preferences.
  • Usage data: basic technical information like IP address and browser type, collected automatically to keep the service secure and working correctly.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate your account and the card-tracking features you use.
  • To send you the alerts you've opted into — email always, and SMS text messages only if you've separately given consent for that.
  • To maintain and improve the service, and to keep it secure.

SMS / Text Messaging Data

This section applies specifically to your mobile phone number and SMS consent, if you provide them:

  • We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in/consent status with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Your number is used only to deliver the market alerts you signed up for.
  • Message frequency varies based on how many cards you track and how active the market is for them — there's no fixed schedule.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • You can stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, or by turning off SMS alerts in your account settings. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at hello@oracard.io.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Providing a phone number and opting into SMS is never required to use OraCard — you can use the service with just an email address.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Opt out of SMS: reply STOP to any text, or update your preferences in your account.
  • Request deletion: email hello@oracard.io to request that we delete your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent: you can withdraw consent for SMS communications at any time; this doesn't affect your ability to keep using OraCard by email.
  • If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA regarding your personal information, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion — contact us to exercise these rights.

Data Retention & Security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

OraCard is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know directly.
